I made this performance for the opening of the new art museum in Kalmar. Such a context makes me uncomfortable and I wanted to work with that feeling. I asked people if I could try out their shoes and go for a walk in them. I wanted to try shoes that would give me the owner's experience and status. And at the same time I wanted to get further away from the whole context. The more shoes I tried the further away I went.
